Mid-week Update

Happy Hump Day!!

The links section's been cleaned up a bit, although it could use a bit more cleaning. I've separated them into sections based on my political views, sports love, and entertainment and stuff.

On a more serious note, I've joined the list of bloggers set to honor the 2, 996 victims of September 11, 2001. There's still a list of people yet to pay tribute to, so if you'd like to add your blog to the list go to this page and enroll. You'll get the info on one of the many heroes, and you'll get to honor them on the 5th anniversary of 9/11.

Enjoy the rest of the week!

More Random Ramblings

Long time, no update! Work, stress, a bunch of other difficult shit, the heat, and lack of caffeine will do wonders on you. Now that's it's Saturday, I'm keeping entertained by watching the Brewers game, enjoying the cooler temperatures, and downing Dew by the liter. Yaay!!

It's hard to believe September's almost here. Started out hotter than shit, and now we're getting the normal temperatures. But we did get air conditioning here, so that stretch in late July was a bit more bearable.

Locally, it's hard to believe how far we've come since Labor Day, 2002. The local Hardee's closed, got razed, and now we're getting a Kwik Trip in a matter of days. Looks freakin' sweet, and I hope they have the Frozen Dews. Those things kick ass in many ways. Adding to that, construction on the new Wal-Mart is set to start sometime this fall.

And now football's on the horizon, which most likely means it'll be time to dust off The Sports Desk for the season. NASCAR's been good too, especially hearing that Junior got booed at the Busch race today. There'll be about three pages of bitching and moaning to Scene magazine about it.

As for the Brewers, they've been doing okay. I wasn't big on the Carlos Lee trade at first (considering he got traded just days before the game I was set to attend), but we got some pretty good ballplayers in return. Kevin Mench isn't a home run hitter, but at least we're getting fly balls caught out there. Frankie Cordero fucking rules. Nothing against Derrick Turnbow, but now we're getting some crucial saves. Once D-Bow is back to form, no doubt we'll see the two share the closer's job. And it was nice seeing the Crew beat the Reds that day.

I'm probably going to give this blog a better look. More links, maybe some graphics, shit like that. So in order for that to come to fruition, it's time for more Dew. Later, bitches!!
