Ehhh.....
Things suck. The country's gone to shit, it's too damn hot, the Brewers are fucking hopeless....is there anything good that can happen to me in this insane time?
A little. My older sister is tying the knot in a matter of days. I'm going to be an aunt for the fifth time in September. My little godson turns one next month. My oldest nephew starts high school. Turd Boy has a job that will help him put his engineering degree to good use.
As for me? Well, I've gone nuts buying various DVDs of me likeys. I got the entire Monty Python's Flying Circus and a whole asston of TV shows. The run of South Park that aired in the spring was all sorts of fucking awesome. The Jonas Bros. episode, with its depiction of Mickey Mouse, was probably the funniest damn thing I've seen in years....bay-bay!
I got into NCIS on a more regular basis thanks to USA reruns, and being quite bored with American Idol for the first time. Quite possibly the best ensemble cast on TV, especially now that half the CSI cast is gone. Lawrence Fishburne's OK, but everytime I see him on TV all I can think of is Cowboy Curtis.
And Hell's Kitchen still owns. And Top Gear is still the most manly awesome show......IN THE WORLD!! And I can't wait for the big changeover between Doctors Ten and Eleven later this year. And there's more South Park to be had in the fall. Yay!
I see they're showing one of the Connery Bond films now, so I'll sign off. I might pop by later with some more stuff.
